One luxury I have is not being stuck in working with an organization in a fixed way. I enjoy meeting with the point of contact and developing a way that works for the crucial needs of your organization.

Here are a few options but please know I am open to creating something specifically for your group.

  • Leadership Retainer: The organization pays me a flat monthly fee to be available to the leadership team as needed. This can be as simple as working with the just president or being available to the president and the executive director. We can add other leaders as needed. This is great for newer presidents or presidents navigating challenging situations although it can be used a simply a way to enhance existing leadership skills. The minimum commitment for this is six months. This is done via a combination of Zoom, email and Signal. (cost range: $300.00/month and up)

  • Board Development: In this scenario, I work with the entire board. I attend board meetings and meet with individual members as needed. This is excellent for boards that are growing or learning how to act together as an effective board. It is also used for boards creating their first strategic plan and needing some guidance through the process. Generally this is done with a yearly flat rate contract. Shorter times can be considered but can be difficult depending on the frequency of board meetings. This is done via a combination of Zoom, email and Signal unless the preference is to attend meetings/retreats in person, schedule permitting. (approximate cost range: $15,000-$40,000 per year plus travel if needed)

  • Organizational Oversight: This is a situation in which I assess the health of the organization and make recommendations for creating a thriving organization. This usually takes between one and three months as it necessitates attending at least one or two board meetings and meeting with many of the board and staff as possible. I also read through existing organizational documents to see what needs to be added or adjusted. At the end I will create an organizational assessment that the board can review and determine how to move forward. This is a one-time flat fee determined by the scope of the project. (approximate cost range: $3,000-$6,000 plus travel if needed)

  • Speaker/Trainer: I can attend board meetings or board retreats to offer trainings around board service. I also speak at board retreats and can create a presentation tailored to the goals of the board retreat. I have also organized team building activities at retreats and worked as a retreat facilitator. (cost determined dependent on scope, materials, and travel as needed)

  • As needed: I can also work on an as needed basis with a simple hourly rate. If the amount of work fits better with one of the above options, I will make that suggestion early on so as not to spend unnecessary funds. $125.00/hour
